Cute Little Purse

Hope your week is perfect so far and if not..no worries, just two more days.
Have you noticed the changes on my blog?

Moving along, I have been wanting to expand my crochet repertoire..You know...
Its not nice to stay at the beginner phase for too long lest the interest fades
What better place to find inspiration that Pinterest {I swear that place is addictive, once you start, there is no going back]
Anyway, I found this cute little purse and I immediately wanted to make it.

I didn't have any idea what it would turn out like since am not yet a pro but I gotta say...I think I did a pretty good job. [nothing boosts the ego than blowing your own trumpet, lol]

Jokes aside....This is some of the yarn that Libby sent me and I have been putting it to good use. This video helped a lot as I was able to follow the instructions really nicely. Thank you Yolanda.

Am even making another purse for my sister. I will definitely be making many more for my mom and cousins.

Today is beautiful, I woke up and the sun was shining so beautifully!
I just had to tell you.
It was as if it brought some cheer into my heart.
Things are going well and I do feel as if the tide has turned.
It has turned to the bright side and it feels good.

Onto what I've been making this and last week:

I started this scarf a week ago. I don't even know which direction its taking.
At some point, I feel like am just gonna unravel it and start all over again.
I didn't have a plan when I started it and I think its getting to me..
I just hope I keep going since its quite long already.

Loving Lately

So, how are you peeps??
I've not been here since Friday and am usually cool with that but damn!, I missed you people!
You have been so amazing to me and its hard to imagine a life without you.
Now that we have that out of the way.......my weekend was awesome!!
I went to visit my family as promised and I had a great time. Sorry there are no pics to support this.
We baked a cake for my sister on Saturday which was her birthday. It was so much fun.
We also helped Mama harvest tomatoes... fun but tiresome.
I came back on Sunday evening and Yesterday I had to travel to the capital (Nairobi) for some business and now am back.
Back and ready to share with you what am loving lately and what I've been up-to on the DIY side.
As I've said it a few times before this, I have taken up crocheting as a new hobby and I absolutely love it.
I've made a few things including a beanie and a headband for my niece Crystal .
I also made these hats at the beginning and have not yet decided who I will bless it with.

 So, what do you think about my new hobby??Any encouragement, ideas, inspiration???
