Thankful Thursday

I think that the Thursday post should be the easiest to write.
There is so much to be thankful for..
But we don't always see it this way...
We kind of like to complain sometimes..
We sometimes overdo it and this blocks our vision of the things that we should be thankful for...
The things that we should be enjoying...
We don't see them..
I pray that your vision is opened today so that you can see all the things you have..
All the things that you should be thankful for..
Coz really, these are the things that matter.

Am thankful for:
-Family
-Fun
-Hubz
-Shopping (even when its just for groceries)
-Food (preparing and cooking it)
-Showers (especially hot ones)
-Electricity-what would we do without it?
-Internet..as always, I do love it.
-Quiet evenings
-Noisy weekends with family
-The holidays (they are here!)
-Hugs and Kisses (who doesn't love these)
-Babies (so warm and fuzzy)
-This little blog
-Health (so many struggle with this, am so grateful)
Thank You.
Have a wonderful Thursday.

The Power to Create: Crochet Baby Hat

Source: tumblr.heyamberrae.com via Millie on Pinterest

So, we all have an immense power inside ourselves.
Its the power to create things.
We are different, we have different desires..
We crave different things
But we all desire to create something beautiful...
This is why we begin projects, we treasure the..
We nurture them and when we see the finished product.....
WE SMILE
Create something and you will just find yourself smiling..

Today I want to share with you a small, little hat that I made for my newest nephew [Miguel]
I love how it turned out and just hope he loves it as much as I do...
Have a Lovely Wednesday!

As you can see, the details of my weekend are really scanty but it was a good one. I just hope that yours was good too.
And to cap it all, here is a picture of me and my nephew Miguel (that name is really awesome, right?)

Cute Little Purse

Hi there...
Hope your week is perfect so far and if not..no worries, just two more days.
Have you noticed the changes on my blog?
I would love, love to hear what you think. Any ideas, criticism and comments are welcome.
Moving along, I have been wanting to expand my crochet repertoire..You know...
Its not nice to stay at the beginner phase for too long lest the interest fades
What better place to find inspiration that Pinterest {I swear that place is addictive, once you start, there is no going back]
Anyway, I found this cute little purse and I immediately wanted to make it.

I didn't have any idea what it would turn out like since am not yet a pro but I gotta say...I think I did a pretty good job. [nothing boosts the ego than blowing your own trumpet, lol]

Jokes aside....This is some of the yarn that Libby sent me and I have been putting it to good use. This video helped a lot as I was able to follow the instructions really nicely. Thank you Yolanda.

Am even making another purse for my sister. I will definitely be making many more for my mom and cousins.
What are you making right now?Are you surprising yourself like me?
Hope so..

Home Office Inspiration

I have been staring at this blank post for almost half of the morning. I was just wondering what I would share with you. Since it is Tuesday, I knew it was time to share what I am loving lately.
However, it just so happened that I had no idea what I was loving
[this love thing is kind of complicated]
Yet, love is the easiest thing when we actually allow it from the bottom and true part of our hearts.
So after much thinking, I knew what to share with you...something that I have always loved but never had
[a home office]
When I see my fellow bloggers talking about how they are decorating their home offices and how it is hard to keep organized and what not...am so amazed {oh and a little jealous..in a totally good way}. I have to admit that bloggers have some of the most amazing ideas and the cutest home offices around.
Anyway, I decided to find some that I liked and share them with you...who knows, I might have one of my own soon enough!

I like offices with lots of light, lots of white and some color splashes..I also love serenity in a home office..somewhere quiet and peaceful, where I can just be myself.
Well, that's what am loving

Thank you is not enough

You know how I said I had started learning a new hobby??
Well, its become quite interesting as I go along.
I have pinned countless crochet projects that I hope to make in the future.
I have also managed to meet new bloggers who love crochet.
I can't even begin to tell you how awesome this community is...
The new projects, the colorful yarn, the slight addictions...
I am so happy I started and hope to continue.
However, there is this one beautiful lady who has made my life as a crocheter tremendously easy.
When I told Libby that I was having trouble finding crochet hooks and yarn, she immediately offered to help.
She was so kind as to send me a package all the way to Kenya just to make my hobby easier.
I so much appreciate her kindness and I think that Thank you alone is not enough..
A whole post dedicated to her is what I could offer today and hope that this kindness is replicated throughout the blogosphere....
Here are the hooks and needles
This is the most beautiful yarn I've ever seen..The mix of colors is awesome
 Thread hooks
 More beautiful yarn
Yarn needles..God knows I needed those
 The yarn stash
She also sent me some magazine printouts for referral whenever I encounter a problem. How sweet is that. Am so thankful for all this and for Libby and her kind heart. Her Blog.
I spent the weekend working on some projects using the yarn she sent and I hope to show you what I made soon..
