There are times when I just sit around and wonder which part of my life makes sense! I try to unravel many aspects of my life and I do not seem to find the kind of sense that am looking for. But, something happens, a call, a simple text, a kiss on the cheek, a hug, a comment on my blog and I remember what makes sense, LOVE. When everything else does not make sense, just try, try and remember those people you love and you will soon find some sense in your life!

Summer Fancies

So, summer is here, or maybe at least it is where you all are. Here, in Kenya, its a little bit cold. And when I say a little, I mean a lot. Actually am wearing a hood right now because its really cloudy and cold here. But anyway, I would never let our cold dampen your summer feelings. So, I decided to indulge you in some of the beautiful clothes that I would wear if it were summer here. The colors in this ensemble amaze me. Why do we wear black and white all the time when there are such beautiful colors out there. In a bid to add more color and warmth to my life, here are my summer fancies. The maxi dress is by far my favorite in this collection. Am very tiny, (like 5 ft tall) and I really refrain from anything that goes below my knees. However, this one seemed so delicious and beautiful that I just had to show it off to you. The mulch-colored dress is also beautiful and I love the yellow in it. To sum it all, I love each and every one of these and sandals too. (We wouldn't want me to be in a beautiful maxi dress and bare foot). For those celebrating Memorial weekend, have fun, it comes only once a year. For the rest of us, work and a little play wont hurt.

Awesome Weekend

So, this weekend I sought out to find some time to spend with family. I have been MIA from home for almost a month and a half and I really needed to get there. So Saturday, I packed up and took the 2 hour journey home. I can tell you right now that it was totally worth it or I could tell you at the end of the post. Take your pick.

I got to spend time with my parents. I really missed my mum. I am really grateful for the opportunity to talk and just be together. I loved the cooking and the laughter and jokes. Am also grateful for my brother, the inside jokes and football discussions. Totally loved it.

Am grateful for getting time to spend time with my nieces. The latest addition being Crystal who is 5 months old. The rest are Elizabeth, Diana and Mercy. I loved every bit of being with them. Their smiles are contagious and their laughter infectitious. Am so happy because I had missed them so much. I guess I really didn't know how much I had missed them until I saw them.

Anyway, as stated above, I had an awesome time and I think am already missing everyone all over again. Hope you enjoyed yours and wish you and me a great week ahead!

Friday Fancies: Cinco de Mayo

I have to start by saying that I have little or no idea of what this holiday is all about. All I know is that holidays are there to be celebrated. I am a super fan of culture and I think these outfits really speak for themselves. They look kinda African and thats why I loved picking them out.
